Privacy Policy

Piktor ("Piktor", "we", "us") turns a flat product shot into photoreal on-model imagery. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit piktor.co or use the app at app.piktor.co, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Piktor provides an AI imaging service for fashion and e-commerce brands. For the purposes of data protection law we are the controller of the personal data described here — except where we act as a processor on behalf of a business customer, in which case our Data Processing Addendum governs.

Information we collect

  • Account data — your name, work email, company, and password (stored hashed) when you register.
  • Content you upload — the flat product shots and reference images you send to the service, along with the prompts and settings you choose.
  • Generated images — the on-model imagery the service returns to you and related metadata such as model, pose, lighting, and category.
  • Billing data — your plan, invoices, and the last four digits of your card. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store the full number.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, credits consumed, device and browser type, and the approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Support and communications — the messages you send us and the demo or sales requests you submit.

How we use your information

  • To operate the service — authenticate you, generate images, and deliver your results.
  • To bill your plan, prevent fraud, and enforce usage limits.
  • To provide support and respond to your requests.
  • To improve the reliability, safety, and performance of the product.
  • To send service messages and, where you have opted in, marketing you can unsubscribe from at any time.

Your content and AI generation

The product shots you upload and the images we generate for you belong to you. We process them only to provide the service to you. We do not use your uploaded images or generated results to train foundation models, and we do not sell your content. Aggregated, de-identified statistics that cannot identify you or your brand may be used to monitor and improve quality.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the service), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the product), consent (for optional cookies and marketing), and legal obligation (to keep tax and accounting records).

How we share information

We share personal data with vendors who help us run the service — cloud hosting, image processing, payment, analytics, and email delivery. These subprocessors act on our instructions under contract. We may also disclose data to comply with the law or in connection with a merger or acquisition. We do not sell personal data.

International data transfers

We may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. After you close your account we delete or de-identify personal data within 90 days, except where we must retain records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@piktor.co. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information and will notify you and any regulator as required if a breach affects your data.

Children's privacy

The service is built for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
